Here is a quick list of the payroll things we need for your business tax return preparation-

  1. W-2s for all employees.
  2. W-3 transmittal form (summary of all W-2s, usually at the end of the W-2 package). For one-person S Corps without employees, a W-3 is not necessary.
  3. Payroll Detail Report for the entire year showing taxes deducted and payroll taxes paid by the business.

If you are confused, no biggie! Let’s hop on a call and figure it out. If you use Gusto, ADP, Paychex, etc., you can also invite us into your world with [email protected] and we can grab all this stuff directly.
